At „Grenzgänger – DER 24h-Wandermarathon" - the hiking marathon all around the Saarland
24h Hiking - around 80km
in the region between Saar and Obermosel
Also in this year: Beginner track with roughly 60km
Challenges, new experiences and a lot of fun - that's the slogan of the fifth 24 h Hiking Marathon in our beautiful Saarland. In the foreground of the event is the experience with nature, but also testing your own limits.
On around 80km participants have the possibility to test their own individual limits, and also surpass them. In this year we also offer the possibility to register for the 60km long day track. Fare and recovery are obviously provided for. Start and goal are the Cloef-Atrium in Orscholz.
We'll stay true to our concept and will show you the most beautiful places from the Saar-Hunsrück Climb, Dream Loops and the Mosel.
Because the outlook is just too beautiful, we will start our hiking march from the little Cloef to have a good view on the Saarloop - symbol of the Saarland. This will not be the only view you'll experience that day. On our way to Taben-Rodt, we will descend to the Saartal, just to climb the Höckerberg on the other riverside. On the top we can enjoy the beautiful lookout to Serrig. We will hike through forests and conservation areas, close to stream courses to reach the romantic city Saarburg. Demanding Dreamloops will us lead over Kastel-Staadt and Freudenburg back to our hiking trail. Those who have also signed up for the night trail will start from the Cloef-Atrium after they've had a proper meal.
Be delighted to discover new stations along your way! Close to new impressions and experiences along your way, you'll also have enough time to relax and linger. Get your soul into a special condition and enjoy impressive landscapes, but also a lot of experience stations. We will spoil you with a glass of wine and regional specialities.
Patronage of the event is the minister for environment and consumer protection Reinhold Jost in Saarland.
